A really cool fan. 5
This fan was super-easy to assemble. The only tools required were opposable thumbs. I love the breeze feature, which makes the fan cycle through all the speeds. The remote also makes this fan great for use in the bedroom. I'm very pleased with this fan and I would recommend.

Great, dynamic fan5
This is a great fan. The top head can be positioned about 45 degrees away from the lower one for multiple users. There are three settings accessed by pressing the power button for high, medium, and low. The one other button is an oscillation button. Works right out of the box, and is fairly quiet, especially on its lower settings. Stands about the height of a computer screen. I enjoy it on hot summer days, or after i have been sweating from exercise.

Pretty good fan5
I bought this fan for a co-worker that had a loud annoying little fan. This is nice and quiet (unless on the high power can be a little noticable). Doesn't blow papers around and gives a nice cool breeze. Its a little tall, about 1 foot, so it can be obstructing if you are sitting in a cube with low walls.

Excellent product5
The Platinum Desktop Wind Tower provides a cool blast of air at the touch of a button. The fan is strong enough to cool but does not blow papers off the desk. It fits in a small space on the desk. The on/off, power level and movement buttons are intuitive. It has worked reliably. The price in the twenty dollar range is a bargain. I highly recommend Platinum Desktop Wind Tower for anyone who needs cool air at their desk.

Over 12,000 hours of dependable operation...5
While checking Amazon in the course of recommending this fan to a friend, I was surprised by the mediocre rating people had given it and decided to add my experience to the reviews. Like Richard Shrum above, I'm confused about what fan some of the negative reviewers were talking about. A few of their comments don't seem to compute with the fan I own, which has 3720 marked on its frame, matches the picture above, and is listed on Lasco's website.

I've owned mine since April 2005 and have run it as a window fan (on low) from eight to eighteen hours a day, for about 325 days each year, and it still operates as well as it did on day one. With this kind of use, I've sort of expected something to go wrong or burn out, but nothing has. All I've had to do is turn it on, turn it off, and clean it every four or five months - a fifteen minute chore.

As I was writing this, I got to wondering just what my use actually amounted to. Based on very conservative estimates, I figure my fan has run about 3700 hours each year, or about 12,200 hours since I bought it. Impressive as that figure is, get this - since the fan runs at 635 RPM on the low setting, that means the fan's motor, bearing, and blade have revolved over 460 million times and still counting! (Check my math if you want, I sure did: 635 x 60 x 12200 = 464,820,000.)

So I think you can see why, for me, this Lasco 3720 has been what all appliances should be, but seldom are: simple, effective, dependable, and reasonably priced. Who knows, maybe there have been quality control problems or production changes since I bought mine. Nevertheless, the basic design has worked exceptionally well for me, and I don't think you should overlook this model if it looks like the meets your requirements.

BEST FAN EVER!5
I buoght this fan at Wal- Mart and it is five dollars cheeper there than on amazon. I was looking at other reviewes and don't see how bad this fan is. It is super powerful. I love this fan! It does a great job circulating the air conditioning. THIS FAN BLOWS!

This Fan Really Blows...5
...and that's a good thing :)
The Lasko 3720 is a powerful fan with lots o' cooling power.
I am not sure what fan these two other "reviewers" bought,
but the one I purchased plainly says "Lasko" on it, and the
unit inside and what's on the cover of the box are the same thing!

Customer Reviews

Great fan5
This is a great fan. My wife uses it mainly for white noise while she sleeps, so it's out in our bedroom. It looks great and works great. The price on Amazon is the best I found.

Fan seems fine, except for that annoying beeping!3
I bought this fan for the bedroom. I thought the remote control would be useful for controlling the fan without getting out of bed. But unless you sleep along, it won't do you much good for this purpose... Every time you press a button on the fan or the remote, the fan emits a loud beep. If I were to turn the fan on/off, or adjust the speed, the beep would probably wake up my wife (or if she used it, she would wake me up).

If you don't plan on using this fan in the bedroom, at night, it seems like it would be a good fan. It is very powerful. It seems sturdy and well built. I would certainly keep it if it wasn't for the beeping, but that's a deal breaker for me. So, it's going back.

    quality fan that works5
The Lasko 3300 20 inch Wind Machine, is a great fan. I have been using them in my office, warehouse, home and in an underground parking lot at the apartment I live in (and manage), for more than a decade. Using them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, they normally last 3 to 10 years each. I do wish there was a discount in shipping, when ordering in quantity.

    i don't need air conditioning anymore!5
I bought this fan last week to tie me over before I replace my broken air conditioner.. turns out I would quickly become a big fan of this fan and forgo the a/c replacement job. We are in the middle of an NYC heatwave right now and sleeping with this fan feels like tropical luxury - serious! It's lightweight, quiet, cool, easy to tote, tilts up or down and saves me money!

The Best Fan on the Market.5
Before I finally installed air conditioning, I used this fan. In fact, I had two of them and used them for several years.

This is the most powerful fan I've ever had. It runs silently. It really stirs up the air and cools the room.

The three settings - low, medium and high - are achieved by turning a huge and easy to turn knob. You can tilt the fan up or down and than lock it into position using the knobs on the side. By placing one fan upward and another downward you'll get a wonderful and refreshing cross breeze.

If you can't afford air conditioning or you live in an area that only needs a fan, you will love the WindMachine. I still use mine to dry clothes that I don't want to place in the drier. I hang them over the shower rod and turn the fan's setting to high. The clothes are dry within a couple of hours.

    Saves on Electricity5
I am a huge advocate of saving electricity which is why I bought the fan. I like to sleep in cool temperatures and living in the deep south only allows that luxury with the AC cranked and running all night. The fan does a GREAT job of pushing air and I now sleep with my AC 7 degrees higher than I used to saving a bundle on my power bill. (It costs less to power the fan than it does the HVAC system) If everyone turned up their HVAC system by 2 degrees(in summer - down 2 in winter) it could help to lessen the effects of Global Warming greatly. Mission Accomplished. The fan is sleek, powerful, the remote is handy, its inexpensive, and quiet! Great Buy!

    Great Fan5
I liked the looks of this fan, read the other reviews and decided to try it. The fan is not noisy at all which is what I wanted because I watch TV in the room it is in. But I also wanted it to cool the room quickly. The ionizer is plus because it also takes care of the smells from the kitchen that carry into this room. The remote is a plus! Easy to assemble, easy to use, has a remote, is quite, and helps with odors.

Circulates air well but sometimes makes noises4
The product works fine and at first it was pretty quiet but then when we put it on at night while we're sleeping you notice it makes some clicking sounds every once in a while. Other than that it has 3 different speeds, can be used as an ionizer (but I can't tell the difference), oscillates and has a timer control. Over all I'd say it's a great product for the amount of money I paid. It's also pretty tall which is nice and has a remote control.

    Nice fan4

I got this fan to ventilate my smoking lounge in my home and it works great. I stuck it in the window so it blows out and it evacuates the entire room in about 10 mins. That's on low speed. Each fan is individually reversable so you can ventilate the room without opening an opposite window.

Only main dissadvantage is it's set up for vertical sash type windows. I'm using it on a modern slider type, but it works okay for that. Just not as easy to install. I installed it vertically (@90 degrees) and it works fine. Just looks dorky with the unit being on it's side.

    Quiet, Reliable, Easy To Clean5
The quietness of my 10-year-old fan prompted my friend to ask me order her one. All the parts disassemble easily for total cleaning. A real workhorse; I leave it running 24/7 in summer.

Just what I was hoping for5
I had bought a Hunter table fan, only to be completely disappointed to find that not only was it made in China, but it was difficult to disassemble for cleaning, and the blades won't start to spin unless switched to HIGH (and even then it sometimes needs a push or several to start turning). So, I set out on a quest to find a fan that is made in the US, easy to disassemble, and works properly. I stumbled across reviews on the 'net which indicated that not only are Lasko fans still made in the US, but this particular fan is easy to disassemble. So I ordered two from Amazon. They arrived in a matter of 3 business days. I am SO pleased with the fan! I put the first one together in about 1 minute, didn't even need the instructions (the other I'll just keep in the box until needed). The head doesn't tilt downward very much, I'd say only 5 or 10 degrees, but it tilts upward quite a bit farther than other fans I've owned, I'd guess somewhere between 30 to 40 degrees from level. It's very quiet other than the inevitable white noise of the fan blades pushing the air. I run my fan in the bedroom at night for the white noise and the air circulation, so it's probably on a *minimum* of 12 hours a day. I don't have any idea how long this fan will hold up to that kind of use. But I am so pleased to have something made in the US and fits all of the other criteria that I set out to find!!! Thanks, Amazon, for the quick delivery, and Lasko, for the great product!!!

    Pros:

    o Made in the US

    o Easy to assemble/disassemble

    o Quiet

o Above average upward tilt (based on previous fans I've owned)

o 6 foot power cord seems adequate for most locations

o Speed control on base rather than fan head

    Cons:

o Fan blades aren't exactly balanced; fan head
jiggles slightly but no noises are created

I realize the "con" I mention is a little picky, it's really the only thing I noticed about the fan that wasn't pretty much perfect.

Now if it will only last for 25 years like the Sanyo desk fan I used to own... if it does, I'll probably be dead and the second fan will be brand new in a box on the shelves downstairs, so my family will inherit a brand new "old" fan LOL.

    Awesome fan5
I ordered 2 of these, and they are great! Nice and quiet and wonderful circulation, would definitely buy Lasko brand again.

LASKO 4420 Jet Air Tower Fan

    Product Description

The Lasko Jet Air Tower Fan 4420 takes tower fan performance to the next level. Housed in a slim body, this fan's looks can be deceiving. A high performance blower motor delivers comfort like no standard tower fan. Its air velocity is up to 30% greater.

    Customer Reviews

    Powerful with features5
I have tried tower fans in the past without much luck. They are unstable, noisy, and don't last very long. They're also weak compared with a conventional oscillating floor fan. However, I am amazed with the design of this Lasko fan. Rather than a long vertical box fan, it has a short horizontal box fan in the base. At the lowest setting it moves air better than the high setting on most other tower fans. It is very powerful. Cranking it up to high does not cause it to wobble like other designs. Aviation style vents put the air where you want it so you can cover a larger area or aim the flow up or down. It has a cute night light in the base, oscillates left and right, and has an infrared remote control.

For the cons, I'd have to say the finish doesn't look as nice as the photo. When it oscillates left and right, it doesn't move very much - although the vents will cover much wider area than any other fan I've used - so, you don't really need the oscillation at all. Doesn't have an air ionizer; although, I've read mixed reviews about ionizers from Consumer Reports. All in all, not worth the full mfgr suggested retail price yet it is the best designed and the most efficient fan I have ever had.

    It's powerful but loud4
I've been using this fan for a little over a month everyday. I was looking for a powerful tower fan to circulate air on the top floor of the house. This fan does the job while working well with another box fan. I placed the box fan on one the window facing outside while the Air Jet blew cooler air from the other window on the other end of the house. You can feel the wind blowing 10 feet away at the lowest level setting. However this fan is louder than I expected. I would buy this fan if u are looking for something that can blow air 10 - 25 feet but don't mind the noise. I have to put the fan far away from the bed at night because it's loud and too strong even at the lowest level.

The remote is very useful at night if u don't want to get up and turn off the fan. Since I don't use the timer function so much, it's fine without it. Finally, for $60 bucks it's good fan and worth the money. It's easy to assemble and easy to use. The only issue is the noise. it's almost as loud as the traditional $20 fan.

    Lasko 3900 Performance Air Cleaner

    Product Description

The Performance Air Cleaner Fan takes in the unfiltered air and provides clean air throughout your entire room in just 3 easy steps¿ plug in, choose filtration volume and start breathing cleaner air in minutes! One pleated home air filter with ARM & HAMMER Baking Soda is included with the fan.

    Customer Reviews

Sure beats those expensive HEPA machines!5
Why spend hundreds of dollars on a machine that sucks air in and blows it out through overpriced filters when you can do the same thing with this unit for less? This unit uses standard 20X20X1 inch filters. If you search Amazon for "20X20X1 filters" you will find a wide range of filtration. The most expensive filter being about $15.

    Good idea5
The first thing to happen to me after taking this unit out of the box was the "Lasko" name plate instantly falling off, I would think if Lasko cuts corners on the adhesive that holds their company logo to the front of the fan then where else have they cut corners?!

Oh well, This is a simple inexpensive solution to a dust or allergy problem I suppose...

Its just a regular box fan with a filter slot attached to the back. Once you have it up and running you'll notice its kinda loud even on the low setting, It doesn't bother me in fact it helps me sleep by drowning out other noise but the second setting is so loud that I can't hear my room mates when they knock on my door.

This is definitely not a fan... Don't buy this for a hot summers day, the air out put is very low compared to a regular box fan and the air that does come out is not cool. But its very good at sucking in dust and thats why I purchased it.

I can't help but feel it won't last very long... I've had lasko box fans before that have died or the fan motor starts making a nerve wracking never ending squeaky shrill, so what chance will this unit have considering it's motor will work much harder pulling the air through a air-filter that will eventually clog with dust.

You might want to invest money in a reuseable/washable air filter rather than buy the throw away types.20x20x1 EZ-2000 Electrostatic Washable Air Filter

I've noticed a much better air flow with the electrostatic filter.

Time will tell, but as of right now its doing a good job and I recommend it...

    **UPDATE**

I've been using them every day for 4 months straight and I'm very happy with the purchase. Both air cleaners are performing really well, they've cut my dusting/vacuuming down to once a month and I just love that!

A bit loud, but worth the price3
If you are going to use it while you sleep, it is loud. I have a large bedroom and put on the other side of the room it is OK and masks noises. I put a 3M filterete filter in it to increase airflow and increase filtering ability. It would work great, as it is, to get nuisance dust out of the air with the MERV 8 filter supplied. Good for a workshop or dusty environment.

Amazon has it for half the price I have seen it elsewhere.

    Can't go wrong with a $20 fan...5
This is probably THE cheapest box fan money can buy. It's also the narrowest fan I've ever seen. This thing probably isn't five inches wide and maybe less than that. Yet it does blow a nice breeze. It's fairly well made and the controls are easy to read (something we baby-boomers appreciate) and the dial-type switch doesn't have a mushy feel, but has distinctive notches so it switches from speed to speed with ease.

It's not too strong and you'll *never* hear anyone yell, "turn that fan down, it's blowing me away!" It's as noisy as you'd expect a $20 fan to be. I like a little white noise when I go to sleep, so this is fine for me. There are some that may find the loud whirring of the motor annoying.

For $20, I'd say it's a real dandy and does a fine job of keeping the air moving. It's a sweet deal and while I've only had mine for two months, I'm fairly well pleased with its performance to date.

    It's a fan, dude!5

We got this fan for our basement and it works great. It really helps circulate the air. We had the same model for a few years and then it started to not work so much, but we ran it 24/7, so it was from over use not the fan. Definalty worth the money:)

    Lasko 16" Table Fan5
i purchased this fan from J&R Music and Computer World, ordered the 1st of june, received the 5th, im very happy with the fan, yes its kinda loud but i like that, cage is NOT that hard to clean, moves good air on all 3 speeds, would recommend this to a friend.

    Wonderfully Quiet!5
As ever, Lasko's products perform quietly and efficiently. The only mis-hap was the broken connection on the motor body in the back and the cover wobbles, but it does NOT affect the performance. I've been a Lasko customer and fan for 20 years and wouldn't change. It arrived as promised, with that single minor shipping damage, and I'm thoroughly happy with it. GOOD JOB!
